Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be taking part in the London to Brighton off-road bike ride on Saturday the 21st of September.

The ride begins at Roehampton University in London where it will head towards Brighton via Weybridge, Shere, Southwater Country Park and Steyning before taking on the largest incline in the final leg before heading down to the finish in Brighton.

The total distance that I will travel is 73.5m (125km) & this is along a variety of terrain such as cycle tracks, forest single tracks & the  south downs link. I'm aiming to complete the ride between 7 - 8 hours.

I have chosen to raise money for a charity that I volunteer at. This charity is called FareShare Brighton & Hove.

FareShare Brighton & Hove is committed to fighting food poverty & waste. They redistribute quality surplus produce from the food industry to organisations working with homeless & vulnerable people in the local community.

They support over 50 organisations in Brighton & Hove by providing them with good surplus food. These organisations support thousands of vulnerable people. Most of these people are homeless, but many others are troubled teenagers, women escaping domestic abuse & people coping with HIV/AIDS or mental health problems.

FareShare Brightonh & Hove is almost entirely run by a fantastic team of volunteers. Their volunteers come from all walks of life, many of whom have themsleves been homeless or struggled with mental health illness or drug addiction. They provide a positive & safe work environment, whilst offering a programme of work skills and training in food hygeine, manual handling & fork-lift driving. For many it's their first step back towards regular work after unemployment or rehabilitation.
