Plastic Oceans Film Night

Romy Hobson is raising money for Ocean Generation

Plastic Oceans Film Night · 4 March 2021

We tackle Ocean threats by turning Ocean Science into understandable, practical tools; engaging people through film and popular culture; and running engagement programmes for youth. As the first generation to deeply understand Ocean issues, we’re also the last generation who can stop them.

Story

LACE are hosting an exclusive screening of award-winning
documentary, A Plastic Ocean!

When? Thursday March 4th @ 6pm

What to expect? Finish work, pour yourself a glass of wine and settle in to a ‘group watch’ via Netflix Party. Commit to as much or as little of the 1h 40 film as you like – if you want to get a feel for it for the first 20 minutes and get on with dinner, that’s just fine.

Why watch it? Named by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the most important films of our time”, this documentary serves to teach us a huge amount about how much damage plastic has caused– and what we can all do better moving forwards.

As one of our supported charities this year was built around this documentary we felt there was no better introduction than the film itself. Consider it your inspiration behind the beach clean ups, under-the-sea baking and other fundraising fun we will have in store for you this year.

Suggested donation? £5 or as much as you are happy to contribute.
