Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My beautiful nieces Jess and Evie were due on 4th April 2019, but due to complications they were born almost 11 weeks early on 19th January, weighing just 2lb 12oz and 1lb 14.5oz. They were rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Hull, where they spent the first three months of their lives, with Evie undergoing several operations and both receiving ongoing specialist care from the incredible team of doctors and nurses.
Fast forward two years and seeing Jess and Evie now it's hard to believe that these two beautiful, happy, cheeky, hilarious girls were ever so tiny and so poorly.
This Sunday 4th April, the same date as Jess and Evie's due date I will be running (possibly crawling by the end) two miles, every hour, for 13 hours to raise money for the Baby Unit Fund, a charity that supports Hull's NICU with the provision of equipment for the babies, improving facilities for the parents, and enabling additional staff training.
This will be a massive challenge for me as the furthest I have ever run in one day is 14 miles, and having to keep going for 13 hours will be TOUGH! But raising money to help care for families like my sister's will make very step worth it.
Thanks for reading.
