The Pebbles Project Trust works to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children and families in the agricultural communities of the Western Cape in South Africa. We focus on the entire life of the child and the challenging circumstances in which they live in order to make a lasting difference.

Story

The Pebbles Project is a charity that I have worked extensively with during my time running The Mountbatten School sports tours. As our chosen charity,  the students and staff work hard to raise money and help them in their mission to make children's lives better.

The Pebbles Project is a charity registered in South Africa and the UK.
They enable children from farming communities in the Western Cape to access quality education programmes and health, nutrition and social work services.

Since their inception in 2004, they have positively impacted the lives of thousands of children by partnering with local farms to implement, run and manage Early Childhood Development (nurseries) and After-School Club centres for farm workers children who either live on the farm or their parents are employed by the farm. Pebbles works on wine, fruit and tea farms across 5 geographical areas. They currently have over 1300 children and young adults accessing their services and programmes.

Many thanks

Tom
