Story

An elite team of LME runners, joggers, brisk walkers and fans of dressing up in active wear will be doing a virtual Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for the Connection

Event details:

Date – 17 May 2020, 11am

Location – any local park, street, your own garden or flat - documented on Strava

After party – zoom drinks at 1.30pm with Hackney backdrops encouraged

The Connection offers a range of specialist services aimed at supporting people through physical and psychological challenges of sleeping rough, while working with them to move off the streets and towards their futures. At least 91p of every £1 donated will directly go towards helping homeless people, whether through housing advice, activity groups, or employment training and volunteering. Thanks to support such as yours, we help more than two-hundred people through our daytime and night services every day.

The Connection at St Martin’s is here to be with people as they recover from life on the streets and move on to meaningful, fulfilling futures and a place to call home. We work with people, not for them, and put every individual person at the centre of their recovery.
