ICP Support is the UK's only charity for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), a pregnancy-only liver condition that can cause stillbirth. Every day we provide specialist support and information to women and families affected by ICP, as well as funding research into the condition.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know, a group of us did the London to Windsor Bikeride on Sunday (8/9/13). There were three options - 29 miles for the oldies...., 37 miles for the casual cruisers and 55 miles for the Bradley Wiggins amongst us.  The sun was shining as we started at Richmond park at 9am and the 55 milers got rained on at approx the halfway mark which at that stage was very welcome.  A great team effort from the LeasePlan CyclePaths and many thanks to our lone supporter at the finsh line - you know who you are Ms de Nul!!!

And down to business...

We have deciced to support a very small charity which gives support and information about Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). ICP is a liver disorder which occurs during pregnancy, and which has been known to be diagnosed at any time from 8 weeks onwards. It is also referred to as obstetric cholestasis (OC). It affects 1 in 140 pregnant women each year in the UK, but may be slightly more common in women of Asian origin. The causes of ICP are not yet fully understood. We would be extremely grateful if you would like to make a contribution towards this worthy cause.
