I started the Louis Thorold Foundation in 2021 following the death of my son Louis and the terrible injuries caused to his mum Rachael.  Since then we have tirelessly campaigned to prevent the deaths of children on our roads.  I have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone who has donated to our charity or sacrificed their time, effort and comfort to raise money for us.

Well...  Now it's my turn.  I've entered the Great North Run for 2023 and been accepted.  I can honestly say that the longest distance I have run in the past 10 years is about 500 yards so getting to 13 miles should be an interesting journey.  Our charity and my son means the world to me, so however much you can give it is all greatly appreciated, but I would encourage any more affluent friends to acknowledge the challenge I am undertaking and give generously!
