LUMPS 20 Miles 20 Pubs Walk

LUMPS 20 Miles 20 Pubs Walk · 2 June 2018
The biggest event that everyone knows LUMPS for is, of course, the Longridge 20 Miles 20 Pubs Walk (how we wish we had patented the title 20/20 before the cricket authorities got hold of it!).
In 1993 Alan joined up with his fellow long distance walkers in Preston to walk what was then 20 miles 20 boddington pubs. By the third walk in 1995 the decision was made to raise money for a local specialist school and the rest, as they say, is history.
20/20 has grown in popularity from 42 walkers in 1995 to 420 walkers in 2017. LUMPS have raised money for 24 charities or causes since its humble start in 1993 and the efforts of LUMPS members has seen over £150,000 raised in total.
For its 25th anniversary walk, LUMPS members are no less ambitious and hope to raise as much money as possible for a charity close to LUMPS member’s hearts - the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
We cannot thank everyone enough for everyone’s efforts over the years and here’s to many more!
