Yet again, the Ladies who Launch, are taking part in the Great River Race. We are rowing a traditional Thames Skiff a gruelling 22 mile race along the Thames  from Greenwich to Ham on Saturday 7th  September 2013.  It gets a little bit harder and we get a little bit slower with every passing year, and we are very grateful to all of you who are regular and generous sponsors of our boat. This year we are raising money for the Save the Children Syria Campaign. 

The humanitarian crisis in Syria and neighbouring countries is at critical levels. Save the Children teams are inside Syria and the surrounding region to give children the basics they need to survive. But they urgently need your support to help more children.

We are really encouraged when we see our friends and family on the bridges through London cheering us on, and there are about 300 boats participating, so it is an amazing spectacle. The  link below has some good photos from last year and approximate timings if you're coming to watch:
