Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm the Lady Captain at Branston Golf & Country Club for 2012 and with Mr Captain, Colin Shaw, we have chose the British Heart Foundation and Prostrate Cancer Foundation for our chosen charities this year.

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION - For 50 years, the BHF has helped to fight heart disease and have developed a scheme called Heart Towns. Burton became a Heart Town in 2011 and is one of only 50 in the UK, providing resources aimed at raising awareness about Heart Health, emphasising the need for education, advice and support to literally save and improve lives in this area

Like all charities, they rely on donations to support initiatives and research and this is one charity where the young and old as well as our local community in Burton will benefit.

PROSTRATE CANCER FOUNDATION - Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. 37,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. 250,000 men are currently living with the disease, which can grow slowly or very quickly and may never cause problems or symptoms in a mans lifetime. Many men with prostate cancer may have no symptoms at all.......
