Lossiemouth based since 1985, we need £130,000 a year to provide a quality service for up to 15 children with a range of moderate to severe disabilities. Children are referred by Health workers and with your help, we can maximise their potential by providing 1:1 support, education and therapies

Story

Coast to Coast

The Coast to Coast, 105 mile route across wild mountains and open waters, begins in Nairn and finishes in Ballachulish, south of Fort William. Running, cycling and kayaking past the historic Cawdor Castle, the legendary Loch Ness and the mountainous Glen Nevis and Glen Coe, this unforgiving Highland terrain and weather breeds a tough task. Commonly completed over two days we are doing it over one day and aiming to complete it with 12 hours in aid of the Ladybird Development Group who help young children across Moray.

Ladybird Development Group

Happily, most parents can take the health of their child for granted, but a small percentage of children are born with or acquire a disability such as cerebral palsy, autism, Down's Syndrome or other condition.  Children may have need of early additional support on a short/long term basis because of speech/language difficulties, social/behavioural problems, sensory impairment or some degree of physical or learning disability.  These children are referred to Ladybird by various Health professional agencies for extra help and support.

Ladybird is committed to providing and maintaining a quality service for the children within the group in a stimulating and safe environment.
