We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

We have set up this Just Giving page in memory of our loving father, Lal Singh, who passed away after a two year fight with blood cancer.

You always hear about cancer, see the TV adverts or hear about families that have been through the pain. However, you never think it could happen to your family... but unfortunately it did happen to us.

Dad battled the cancer bravely for two years, and throughout the difficult time he was a constant pillar of strength and positivity
to his children, grandchildren and darling wife. He never let us cry or feel sad, and his main focus since diagnosis was to battle the cancer, live life to the fullest and care for his family.  He kept
inspiring us to laugh and to succeed in our dreams. Throughout his life, and more so in the past two years Dad was dedicated to his wife and children, ensuring he looked after them during his illness and even after his passing.

During his two year battle he wouldn’t let us tell anyone about his illness because he didn’t want to burden or worry anyone with
his pain. He was that type of person; always being considerate to others, caring about others ahead of himself, and being happy in other people’s happiness. His unique attributes were even reflected in his final wishes, as you all know.

In line with his guidance we have set up this page so that we can provide something constructive in his memory by helping others.

For those of you who do donate blood, thank you so so much for your donations. Regular blood transfusions gave life and energy to Dad, and for this we are immensely grateful.

Dad was, and always will be a shining light in our lives, our hero, our inspiration, our strength. Dad we love you and are so proud of
you xx
