Story
Back in December 2010 our daughter, Sarah had her kidney and with it a 9cm tumour removed. She had become ill and the tumour was discovered along with cysts in her lungs. She was subsequently diagnosed with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). LAM is a rare lung disease that only affects women and is incredibly rare with around 240 women known to have it in the UK.
We have decided to organise the Morecambe Bay Cross Bay Walk, between Arnside and Kent’s Bank to raise money for LAM Action. The event will take place on Saturday 23rd June starting at 2.15pm and will be guided by Cedric Robinson MBE. We would be delighted if you would join us on this fantastic walk and in doing so support LAM Action a charity very close to our hearts. For more information about the walk and for a registration form please email lamcrossbaywalk@outlook.com
The purpose of LAM action is twofold. Firstly it is a self-help group to provide support and encouragement for patients with LAM. The second is to raise money for research to be conducted as it is often difficult for rare diseases to get funding.
You can also donate by texting LAMI 54 followed by the amount £1, £2, £3, £5 or £10 to 70070
