Vitality London 10,000 2019 · 27 May 2019 ·
This is a story of two halves: one half is about a journey I've been on and the other half is about giving back.
I originally decided to run a 10km as a personal challenge to better myself, and to see what I'm capable of. As someone who has never really incorporated sport into their life, I kept making excuses why I didn't have time. I knew exercise would have a really positive influence on my mindset, but it honestly took a few months to start really investigating with any fervour.
Then it dawned on me that I could run for a charity ... and the decision was made.
Alzeimers has affected my family, I have seen first hand how awful this disease is - I knew I had to raise money for them, and the Vitality 10Km was a perfect opportunity to do so.
So, here I am. Running! Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't run ... but now I can't wait until the 27th May 2019 to run. It will be a big challenge for me, but knowing I can raise money for this charity gives me the focus to smash it.
I am also doing this to show my daughter that anything is possible. If I can run a 10Km she can run the world (and probably will one day!) and that is a wonderful thing!
Thank you for reading and thank you in advance for any money you can donate!!
