I'm fundraising to support Chickenshed - a charity that uses the performing arts as a vehicle to champion difference and demonstrate the strengths of a more inclusive world.

I have been a member of Chickenshed Youth theatre for 2 years and during this time I have performed in plays such as “ A Christmas Carol”, “Stig of the dump” and “Rapunzel” to name a few. I have performed in front of famous people and on TV.   

By acting in these plays and performances has not only allowed me to do something I truly love. But by learning my lines and many hours of practicing has also helped me with my school work and improving my social skills.

Chickenshed has a full inclusion policy for all their members that does not judge you on any intellectual or physical disability. To my family at Chickenshed I am not a person with a disability, but just Laura. A person is who is loud, loving and sometimes bossy. Someone who is blessed that Chickenshed was able to open its doors and heart to let me join. 

So I would love if you could give as "little or as much" as you could, to help Chickenshed. 

They need to raise over 3 Million Pounds every year to operate and your small donation will enable them to work with and empower someone else to do what they love, just as they have done for me.
