Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am sleeping outside with nothing but a sleeping bag and some cardboard for shelter at the Eden Project on 15th November to raise money and awareness for a Southwest based homeless charity. So many young people and others end up on the streets for so many reasons and I want to try and help give them a chance to get safe accommodation, a warm meal  and some help to improve their lives. A predicted 400+ homeless people have died in the UK in the last year and to me this is unacceptable.  

I believe that nobody is more than a few bad decisions, or instances of bad luck away from this kind of life. I see people walking past homeless people in the streets and not even looking at them. These people have so little and with a little help could have a much better, safer life.

This means a lot to me as I was almost at the point of being in this situation when I was younger but luckily had a family who supported me. Not everyone has that. 

Even if you are not in a position to donate some money then I pledge you to consider treating the next homeless person you come across as the human being that they are. Even if it is just to make eye contact and say hello. Winter is upon us - imagine having nowhere safe, dry and warm to sleep. Let's together make a positive step in the right direction  :)
