Martin and I, along with Daniel and Joshua, are taking part in the 2018 Pedal for Scotland, Glasgow to Edinburgh Bike Ride, on Sunday 9th September.  Some might say we’re mad to attempt this with kids, but our boys love a challenge, and have a great deal of energy to boot, so what better way to burn it off, than on a 45 mile cycle! And...at least this is a challenge we can tackle together! 

Like so many, we have witnessed firsthand, the impact Cancer has on families. Rainbow Valley is inspired by Johanna MacVicar who passed away in 2005 following a lengthy battle with leukaemia. She believed that diet, stress, exercise and complementary therapies all influenced her health and had a significant role in controlling her condition and future. Since Rainbow Valley’s inception in 2012, they have been delivering Johanna’s vision through their free to attend residential courses and provision of information. 

I am fortunate enough to know Johanna’s sisters and I have been so inspired by their efforts, not only to honour their sister’s memory, but to educate people to take control of their cancer diagnosis by accessing new ways to thrive and survive. They really do tremendous work.
