Story
A chairde, this summer, August 2021, I will be attempting to summit Mt Kilimanjaro in aid of LauraLynn Children's Hospice.
LauraLynn is Ireland's only hospice for children with life-limiting conditions, which provides residential care for children and young adults with disabilities. LauraLynn employs approx. 140 staff, and relies solely on funding provided by the HSE, and donations from the public. They make the most of short and precious lives.
The work that LauraLynn has done since the establishment of the foundation by Jane and Brendan McKenna in 2001 has been absolutely astonishing. They have worked tirelessly around the clock in order to build a hospice dedicated to their daughters' memory. I'm hoping to raise funds for this incredible hospice over the next few months, in order to show my gratitude for the life-changing work that the hospice does, and hopefully contribute to it in some way.
For the month of February I will be challenging myself to a “Daily Plunge”, in which I’ll dunk myself into the Atlantic waters for the absolute craic. Any donation is so greatly appreciated!! All donations collected on this funding page go directly to LauraLynn.
