In memory of Alasdair Gray

Barth syndrome is a complex and life threatening genetic condition that affects the heart, immune system and growth. Our children and adults struggle with extreme fatigue, sudden heart arrhythmias and recurring infections. Help us to fund research and to find a cure for this devastating condition.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just giving page.

We have set this page up in memory of our son Alasdair Gray.

Alasdair was 9 months old when he suddenly became very poorly. We were told Alasdair's heart was enlarged and he was rushed to The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow. Despite intensive care his heart wasn't strong enough and he passed away.

Weeks later results came back showing Alasdair had an extremely rare condition called Barth Syndrome.

Our aim is to raise awareness of Barth Syndrome, raise money for charity and keep our sons memory alive.

We intend to hold various fundraising events, any donations will be gratefully received. All donations through this page will go direct to Barth Syndrome Trust. We are looking to set up a memorial fund in Alasdair's name and raise money for various worthy charities in Alasdair's memory.
