Lakes trek & Snowdonia Challenge · 12 May 2018

The sanctuary gives a permanent home to over 550 farm animals rescued from neglect, cruelty, starvation and abandonment. We campaign peacefully to improve conditions for farm animals and conditions in livestock markets. At the Sanctuary farm animals are for life and not for slaughter.

Story

On may 13th 2018 Laura Taviner and Lindsey Martin are walking from Seathwaite to Sty Head and Grains Gill in the lakes carrying their camping  kit along this challenging route. Dressed in fetching pig suits they are raising money to buy new pig arcs and provide veterinary funds for over 550 rescued farm animals at the small Worcestershire charity including pigs, cows, sheep and horses. They are joined by Ellie House who is raising funds for a homeless charity, kairos.

Just a few days later Laura will be climbing Snowdon going up the challenging Pyg track route- oink! Those of you who know us will know that are fitness levels are not the best and so we are pushing ourselves in order to raise £1000 which is 40% of the weekly welfare running costs.
