As many of you know I have been involved with The Big House for many years. They hold a place close to my heart because of the fantastic work that they do supporting young people coming from the care system or on the verge of social exclusion for various reasons. 

It’s becoming increasingly hard for all charities to continue to provide support for their members and The Big House is no exception.

The forgotten young people that they help, NEED this support. They need community and other options, instead of being thrust in to lives of crime through lack of options and becoming just another statistic. 

I can say with everyone ounce of my being, that the work they do, truly changes the lives of those they encounter and we need far more charities like them to continue creating the knock on effect of positively throughout communities and in the hearts of us all. 

They use drama as a way to allow the young people to learn how to express themselves and how to channel their emotions in a more beneficial way. They give them hope, prospects and support, something that seems pretty hard to come by when you grow up without money and basic stability. 

I am throwing myself FULLY out of my comfort zone and training in stand up comedy over the next few weeks to perform as part of a comedy gig on the 19th NOVEMBER at the BACKYARD COMEDY CLUB 

I can safely say that I am super scared about the whole thing and need as much support as possible to make it all worth it in the end.
