Bupa Great South Run 2009 · 25 October 2009 ·
On your marks… get set… GO!
BBC South's Laura Trant and Joe Crowley have teamed up to take on this year's BUPA Great South Run to raise money for Children In Need.
Please please please dig deep and support their fundraising efforts. To be honest it won't be pretty. In the build up to the race day Joe's been in the States on a strict carb-loading regime of four super-sized meals a day but he's now back and adjusting well to his normal doughnut diet in the UK. He's not a fan of running, preferring to wreck his knees on a football pitch so luckily he's got Laura "the machine" Trant to get him through the experience. A skinny Paula Radcliffe (without the rolling head running style) Laura doesn't seem fazed by the distance although she's so far waved off suggestions of a 'bear suit handicap' to even up the contest. And on a serious note everyone knows the BBC's Children in Need does GREAT work so please please give generously to this wonderful cause.
