Story

Hello everyone!

We are two (one current and one former) PhD students from the BCI and have the ambitious goal of completing 100 miles of cycling in the Prudential Ride London at the end of July.

Recently we pulled together to cycle from the East Midlands in England across Europe and through 5 countries to Bavaria in the south of Germany. Similar to these long miles on a bike being supported by enough chocolate milk, we know that persistence and endurance in the lab is most effective if supported by enough funding.

Having both worked at the BCI we know first hand that the money raised towards the Barts Cancer Institute Charity will help facilitate cutting edge research needed to improve the way we diagnose and treat cancer.

Although we have before cycled 75 miles in a day, the Prudential Ride 100 promises to be a truly tough challenge! Any support that you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

Best wishes,

Laura and Josh
