This time last year my mom was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, a non-cancerous brain tumor. It was one of the hardest things to hear her say and what followed was an even harder 12 months for my family with the pain my mom was experiencing from the tumor pressing on her nerve, the countless hospital appointments, the scans and the tough decisions we had to make as a family. 

Three weeks ago she underwent surgery to remove the tumor. The operation was mostly successful and the majority of the tumor was removed. She's lost her hearing on the side where the tumor is and her balance isn't great but she's always been a bit clumsy anyways! Thankfully she's on the road to recovery now and even though we've got a million more hospital appointments, scans and physio sessions to attend we'll get through it as a family. 

I don't think there are any words to express how grateful I am to my family, friends and collegues for their continued support and love throughout this whole thing. The best I can do is thank you!
