London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

DELTA believes that the vast majority of deaf children can learn to listen and talk and that all parents of deaf children should be given this option. It's aim is to promote the education of hearing impaired children through their residual hearing capacity and naturally spoken language.

Story

In April, I'm running the London Marathon for DELTA (Deaf Education through Listening and Talking) – a charity that helps deaf children learn to listen and talk.

I’m raising funds for this charity because of my inspirational friend, Andy, who was born severely deaf. It’s through him that I’ve seen first-hand how DELTA can transform lives.

I’ve never ran a marathon before – not even close! Running 26 miles will be a huge physical (and mental!) challenge for me and your support in raising funds for this incredible charity would be absolutely amazing.

You can find out more about the charity and the life-changing work it does at http://deafeducation.org.uk/.
