WIRES, the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service has been rescuing and caring for native animals for over 35 years. Our mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. We have over 4000 volunteers in 28 branches.

Story

Watching my homeland burn from my home in Scotland has been heartbreaking. I want to support WIRES in their work rescuing and protecting the Australian wildlife affected by bushfires. This Friday I will walk from my workplace in Broadford Primary School to my home in Kyle of Lochalsh, wearing flip flops and shorts. The January weather may be pretty grim!
