Having successfully complete the Great Scottish Run last October. We have decided to take on the Great North Run! We have chosen do the run to raise money for Friends of Gibside School as it is local to the race and the school has provided a great experience for our friend Julie Anne's son Ben during his time at the school.

Gibside is a school with children who have a variety of complex special needs. they provide specialist care for children along with an adapted curriculum allowing them to achieve their very best.

Ben started at Gibside School in 2012 as he was unable to cope in a mainstream school due to his Autisim and ADHD. Since joining Gibside he has grown in confidence, improved his independence and communication skills to a level which was unexpected and this is all thanks to the school and their teaching skills. Gibside are a dedicated team who strive to meet each child's potential and this is why we would like to offer our support and raise some money for a great School.
