We help deaf children to learn to listen and talk.

Story

Our Son George was diagnosed with moderately severe hearing loss when he was 3 weeks old. He got his first pair of hearing aids when he was 6 weeks old. 2 months later we started attending The Elizabeth Foundation.

The Foundation has given us the opportunity to meet other parents and for George to meet other children with hearing loss. We share stories and updates about our children which is invaluable. It's a space to ask questions and learn things about our children's hearing loss and what this might mean for their future.

It's a place to access information, advice and guidance on how best to support our children.

The Foundation is an amazing place that has given us all the practical things we need to support our Son but also amazing friendships.

About the charity

The Elizabeth Foundation is a Family Centre with baby, toddler and pre-school sessions for deaf children and their families. We follow the 'Multi Sensory Oral Approach', to develop speech, language and listening skills by using all of the child's senses in a natural, fun, child-centred environment.
