Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After the loss of my Dad I am so motivated to pay back some of the kindness and support that my family received from St Benedict's Hospice therefore on the 8th of September I will be taking part in The Great North Run in memory of my Dad - Scott Walker who sadly passed away on the 16th of March in St Benedict's Hospice.

The hospice holds a very special place in mine and my families hearts, as the care they provided for my dad and ourselves was priceless. In our darkest days they truly looked after each and everyone of us throughout the most difficult time of our lives and made us feel safe and protected.

The hospice is partly NHS funded however also hugely relies on charitable donations. The money raised will go towards offering care to patients with a life limiting illness as well as individual support for their families.

Thanks to everyone of you for the love and support over this extremely tough period and your thoughtfulness has not gone unnoticed.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Lauren.
