Saint Michael’s is the local hospice care charity ensuring people affected by terminal illness can access high quality, personalised care. We help thousands of local people each year and make no charge. Each year we must raise £7 million to provide our range of services.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I have been a member of Harrogate Harriers for a number of years now, and have increased my running distances over recent years, now regularly taking part in 10k runs and very recently a 15k run.   This will be the first half-marathon I have run.

I am currently in the sixth form at St Aidan's School, Harrogate.

I could think of no better cause to raise sponsorship money for than St Michael's Hospice in Harrogate who do such wonderful work.

Every small amount of sponsorship helps -

£2 would provide personal care items to help patients who are being cared for in bed feel fresh and clean.

£5 could provide essential medical supplies to ease a patient’s symptoms, helping to reduce suffering and improving their quality of life.

£10 could create a “First Aid for Feelings Kit” for children, including worry dolls, stress balls, books and other materials to help them after the death of someone important with terminal illness.
