This November I will be taking on one of the world’s best marathons to support my local Hospice.

I will be flying over the pond and taking on the challenge of the

New York Marathon!

As you are all aware, this is not my first challenge for the Hospice, as I have only recently returned from a fantastic yet ambitious expedition to Everest Base Camp. Through my efforts I managed to reach over my target, and reached a staggering £4,052.18 which I am very proud of!

The reason for my big support towards the Hospice is after they gave care and support to my beautiful fiancee, Julie, who was not only my love, but my best friend and my inspiration. The Hospice currently needs £4.4million each year to ensure local people get the end of life care they want, need and deserve. They believe everyone in the Harrogate district and surrounding areas should be offered the choice of quality end of life care, regardless of the illness they are living with or the place from which they are receiving care. So please give as much as you can, your money could be used for:

£5 provides essential medical supplies to ease a patient’s symptoms, helping to reduce suffering and improving their quality of life.

£10 creates a “First Aid for Feelings Kit” for children, including worry dolls, stress balls, books and other materials to help them after the death of someone important with terminal illness.

£50 could help a person living with Lymphoedema to benefit from an appointment with one of our specialist team.
