My Dear Nan, has been living with Dementia for more than 8 years now. She is a incredible lady, who has a huge space in my heart.  

It has been a sad journey watching her deteriorate. She turned 91 on the 28th of January, what an age!

She’s been through so much in her lifetime, most poignant, WW2, losing her husband at the age of 66 and tragically losing two sons, which no mother should have to go through. 

Sometimes when I visit I still see a glimmer of the Nan she used to be, funny, feisty, strong and loving. 

It’s such a sad disease and affects so many.
