Leah: Back in 2014 I ran my first half marathon, a year later I ran my second. After this I wanted to take a break from just running and decided to have a go at Tough Mudder, an obstacle couse spanning 10-12 miles. I completed 2 of these, one in 2016 and one in 2017. Since then I have taken a break from running and in the last year took up full contact rugby, only to return to running when I agreed to sign up to my first ever marathon at the start of this year.

I've chosen to run for the Loddon School as I've seen first hand the incredible work all the staff put in to ensuring that the young people in their care, regardless of having the most severe and complex learning difficulties, are able to experience a high quality, fulfilled life.

Tom: My athletic history is very informal without any record of organised events or sports. That said, I've done a lot of cycling recently, typically cycling 40 miles a day for my weekly commute for most of the last two years. 

Stamina is one aspect of sports I've always felt pretty confident on, and so in theory a marathon should be for me. Plus I've said for a long time that I'm the fastest man in Europe. It's previously been completely unfounded but in October we put it to the test. 

The loddon school do incredible work for children with learning disabilities and I feel excited and honoured to raise money for such an awesome school.
