Alec was diagnosed with JIA in September 2014. Since then we have benefitted personally from this charity, and are keen to raise funds for CCAA and raise awareness of JIA. Juvenuile Ideopathic Arthritis affects 1 in 1000 children, and is nothing to do with wear and tear of the joints, it is caused by the immune system attacking itself. The medication Alec takes each week is a chemotherapy drug. Alec hates his weekly injections and suffers with anxiety each and every Thursday. As a show of my support for Amazing Arthritic Alec I shall be doing this firewalk - something that scares me! Yet my experience will only be the once, Alec has it each and every week.
