Im raising money for the Alzheimers Society as it is a charity close to my own heart. Unfortunately my dad has Alzheimers and it breaks my heart to see how the disease takes the person away from you that you knew and turns them in to someone unrecognisable at times. Alzheimers in a form of Dementia and dementia is terminal, with no cure. At times I feel helpless and unable to do anything to help that seems worthwhile, so this is my way of doing something that will make a difference.

The Ben Nevis Midnight Challenge will be tough. I will be climbing the highest mountain in the UK at night, lit only by the moon and torch light. The challenge will be made even more difficult by the changeable weather conditions on the mountain. So my training starts soon!
