Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in honour of the late Wes Philp who sadly passed away earlier this month. Wes joined the team within weeks of Communicare’s formation in 1991 and was a stalwart supporter to the charity through the years and right up to the end of his time.  He was immensely proud when presented with his certificate for 30 years of service.

Described as ‘an inspiration’ Wes explained what it meant to him to be a volunteer with Communicare in November last year:

‘My faith is what first motivated me to volunteer with Communicare, and I knew then I was joining something very special.  The charity has come on leaps and bounds since the early days and being able to watch it grow and expand throughout the years has been wonderful. Celebrating a 30 year anniversary is a fantastic achievement and having so many volunteers being recognised for their long service to people in need in Southampton is something that we’re all very proud of.’
