Leatherhead to Paris bike ride 2010 · 14 May 2010

Every year we support thousands of children and families right across the country. We provide rehabilitation to help children make the best recovery possible after a serious accident or illness, both at our national specialist centre in Tadworth and in the community.

Story

Hi,

Firstly, many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving fundraising page for the Children's Trust.

Last year a brave and hardy group of Learning Tree International employees cycled from Hampton Court to Hove, 60 tough miles up and down dale… Time does indeed heal wounds, even open sores!  With memories faded and spurred on by last summer’s success, this year we intend to endure greater chaffing, cramps and discomfort!  An intrepid team of cyclists will be cycling from our office in Leatherhead (Surrey) to our "sister" office in Paris (France!).  Starting on May 14th, we'll be cycling for 3 ½ days and will cover more than 200 miles.  To even up the teams ability we have found a tricycle for our resident ‘uber’ cyclist Dave Orledge!

We're delighted to be doing this in association with the Children's Trust, to help raise much needed funds for their valuable workThe Children's Trust in Tadworth provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury - a very worthy cause.

The trip has been fully funded by the cyclists and Learning Tree, hence every penny you donate goes into the charitable pot!  If you'd like to support our efforts and make a donation, it is very simple, fast and totally secure.  JustGiving will never pass on your details or send unwanted emails, once you have donated they forward your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on all eligible donations by UK taxpayers.   It’s efficient, it’s easy and cuts costs for the charity.

So, think of the bruising, the pain and the swelling and dig deep… Please donate now!

Many thanks, your support really is appreciated by all of us.
