We provide information for owners and vets to increase understanding of cancer in pets

Story

Hey all.

My name is Lee Gunnell. I am a writer who focuses mainly on animal rescue stories, and have decided to run the St Albans Half-Marathon, in order to raise money for the charity Animal Cancer Trust, here in the United Kingdom.

Animal Cancer Trust exists to provide education, and facilitate ethical research on this awful disease, and afford our beloved pets a longer and ultimately wealthier quality of life.

As human beings, we exert so much effort into fighting cancer, we often forget it is not limited to us alone. And while we can attempt to understand and fight the disease, dogs, cats and the rest of the living world are not afforded such a luxury; leaving them at the mercy of our compassion - which thankfully is strong in our species.

Any donation you can leave to help reach this target, makes you a potential life saver to a loved one. I thank you for your kindness to the animal kingdom; they are worth every penny, and worth every step I run...
