Lee Whitfield is raising money for Severn Hospice
In memory of David Whitfield
Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.

Story

My Story...

My dad and I were very close, he was my best friend, mentor, biggest critic and biggest fan. We together set up Bai Lang 18 years ago! Sadly he was diagnosed with lung cancer which took his life so quickly on 29th July 2017 at a premature age of 60.

There were so many failings with the NHS, from diagnosis stage, to operating and treating at a time that should have cured him, and his treatment continuing nearly right to the end.

Fortunetly we were given a place at Severn Hospice in Telford for him to spend his remaining days before passing. The treatement and care was nothing short of phenomenal. Having your father pass is never easy, infact it is one of the hardest challenges I have had to face in life. But Severn Hospice made it so much nicer for him and for us to accept. If he had passed still in the hospital wards, I would have been filled with so much anger at all the failings and ill treatment he has faced. But instead I am thankful for Severn Hospice giving him the treatment he deserves, and would like to support this great charity to do the same for other people at what is an horrific time. I am sure he left the Earth and us in peace and comfort, which comforts me and my mum. I hope they can offer the same care to more and more people with your support
