Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Lee's family have set up this just giving page to raise funds for the Lee Robson Patient Grant. Lee was first diagnosed in 2002 after serving a tour of Kenya for the British army. After 4 courses of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant Lee went into remission.

Shortly after Lee began fundraising for bright red and became their first ambassador.

In 2012 after completing a 500 mile bike ride in aid of bright red to raise funds for the first outreach nurse Lee was given the devastating news that his leakaemia had returned for the second time. This time Lee received 2 courses of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

However in June 2013, Lee and his family were told his leakaemia had returned a third time and was now terminal. He was given 3-4 months to live.

In only 3 weeks Lee passed away surrounded by his loving family.

In honour of Lee and all of his effort and commitment to bright red, they re named their patient grants in his memory.

Now, we fundraise to give patients a one off financial relief grant worth £250. These grants are a life line to some patients and we appreciate all your help and support!

In August 2016, 3 of Lee's sisters and 1 of his nephews are climbing the 3 peaks in Morocco over the course of 7 days. We are aiming to raise as much money as we can so we can help as many families as we can!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us keep Lee's memory alive.
