Leightons St Roccos page for Great Manchester Run 2015

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As most if you will no doubt know my mum sadly died on the 20th Jan this 2014 after a 6 month battle with Lung Cancer. Mum fought the disease for as long as she could and I have no doubt that the support and kindness shown by St Rocco's during this time helped her greatly to prolong that fight with this awful illness. Losing a relative is an awful thing for any person to deal with and lots of charities raise money for the prevention and cure of illness. But what do you do if prevention or cure is NOT an option? In my mums case there was never going to be a cure. That is why the work of charities like St Rocco's can never ben understated or taken for granted...As you know I ran the 10K last year, it wasn't easy and after much deliberation as frankly it nearly f**king killed me, I've decided to do it again!....Last year I raised over £800 with on-line and donations given personally, so please give what you can...as I attempt to beat both that figure and my running time last year of 1Hour and 2 seconds....for your kind donation you get to think of the suffering I will personally endure running this race again as I have done NO road running since Nov last year!!....Thanks
