QRL Charity Cycle Ride 2015 · 13 April 2015

We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page, my name is Leon Reeve and I am currently a Squadron Sergeant Major in the Queen's Royal Lancers based in North Yorkshire. I have always wanted to show my respects to the fallen soldiers of the Regiment. So whilst on Christmas leave I had the idea that I would gather a group of soldiers together and  cycle to all the graves of the soldiers that we have lost in action.

I have served 16 years in the British Army and all of that time has been as a "Lancer". Throughout the years I have been involved in many tours and lost people I worked with and respected dearly. As the Regiment will almalgamate in May this will act as a fitting tribute to those that are no longer with us.

As times change and the Army changes we must not forget all who have gone. We must keep the candle burning and remember them. With the help from you I hope to raise at least £10,000 for the soldiers charity ABF(Army Benevolent fund).

As a team of 6 soldiers with very little cycling experience we intend to cycle 700 miles visiting 13 graves in 5 days. This will not be easy and will be a very big challenge for everyone involved. However with the correct training and determination we will succeed.

Please support this event, anything will help.

Thanks, Leon, Kev, Stewart, Liam, Mark, Stewart L.
