Who we are?

Hi, our names are Mia and Leona, best friends, in year 9 and at Mossbourne community academy. In the past we have done two cake sales forNorth London Action for the Homeless (NLAH) raising over £500 and now we are planning another fundraiser but this time a sponsored walk.

 Our fundraiser

We are planning to walk around 10km from the NLAH centre to the London Eye but with an added challenge- we have to navigate the old fashioned way with a paper map, no phone and alone.

On our way we will have to ask passers-by for help.

 Why we have chosen NLAH?

We have always been interested in helping the homeless, but we love how NLAH is in our local community and we can come and see how they help the homeless. Its unique services and kind staff and volunteers mean we are always looking for an opportunity to fundraise and donate to them. We are also doing it at Christmas time as it is the most difficult time for homeless people because of the weather conditions especially this year due to the hardships of covid.
