SUAG provides practical, financial and emotional support to spinal cord injured people and their families in the North West of England following an irrevocable, life changing event and at the time when it is most needed.

Story

For this year’s charity event, we will be doing the Thames Bridges Trek Ultra Challenge on Saturday, 9th September 2023. The Challenge is to walk 25km each, starting at Putney Bridge and heading East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges. 25km later, it’s a party-style finish line celebration in Southwark Park past the final crossing, the majestic and iconic Tower Bridge.

We have chosen SUAG (Spinal Unit Action Group) as our charity to raise money for.

SUAG are a charity based in Southport run by a group of volunteers from all walks of life who provide support to people with spinal injuries and their families. They do everything from barbecues and tea and sandwiches up at the hospital, to garden parties and other fundraising events. They also fund holidays and contribute to the purchase of new equipment such as wheelchairs or adapted vehicles.

As many of you know this is a charity very personal and close to our hearts. This charity has taken care of our best friend and helped him, and many others see hope again. Our hearts will be forever grateful for the amazing work they have done for our best friend.

We appreciate that we all are facing increased costs of living so any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

This event will take a lot of endurance, but it will be well worth it and an amazing sense of achievement.

Please help us reach our goal.

Many thanks
Leonie & Sarah
