At the grand old age of six Leo Bailey started raising money for the Lions. After reading a story abut the Lion's in Africa one night he asked his mum Olivia "why can't we raise money for the lions in Africa instead of people all the time?" .... and that's where it all started.

Leo is now raising money for the African Lion and Environmental Research Trust (ALERT). He is the youngest member of ALERT's pride and has also joined the Pride of ALERT Fundraising Network.

The aptly named Leo one day looks forward to being old enough to travel from his native Australia to Africa to meet ALERT’s lions for himself. Until then, he plans to hold fundraising events at school and even donate some of his birthday money.

His first school fundraiser was held at school when he was in grade 1 where he made loom bands to sell to his school mates.

Leo has continued to do numerous fundraisers.
