Hospice Isle of Man was founded in 1983, & since that time we have card for thousands of patients, and those that matter to them. We deliver all of our services completely free of charge. We need to fundraise over £5.5 million this year, in order to meet our anticipated £7.1 million running costs

Story

In memory of my husband, Lee Maddox, I am challenging myself to take part in the 2021 Parish Walk to raise money for Hospice Isle of Man.

Lee wanted to take on the Parish Walk in 2018 with his friend Patrick (known as Pack) but after feeling unwell and having a sore back during his training unfortunately had to withdraw. Lee was sadly diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a type of blood cancer) in late June 2018. After a strong battle, with support of Hopsice Isle of Man, The Royal Liverpool Hospital and his family, unfortunately Lee passed away in April 2020 aged 53.

So in Lee’s memory, I am putting on my walking shoes and training to take part in the Parish Walk. I am first aiming for Rushen and then hope to get onto Peel. I would like to raise funds for the Isle of Man Hospice who rely strongly on public fundraising to operate year on year.

Your support on my journey and raising funds for such a worthy cause is greatly appreciated - Let's do this for Lee.
