On Tuesday 13th March I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I was admitted immediately to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and  began chemotherapy the following day to save my life after being given 12 weeks to live without treatment.

I opted to be involved in a cancer trial which os run by Hope Against Cancer, a Leicestershire based charity. They focus on prioritising early detection, treatment and prevention of cancer for local patients now and in the future.  You can read more about the wonderful work the Hope Charity do here: http://hopeagainstcancer.org.uk/what-we-do/

Aiden, my dad, my step mum, my brother and Aiden's Dad and step mom (all the way from South Africa) are taking part in the Hope Against Cancer 5k Inflatable Charity Run on Saturday 2nd June 2018 at Leicester Race Course. 

We would love your support in donating anything you can towards the charity run. We would love to be able to say a huge thank you to Hope for the incredible work they do, the care they are  providing for me and to help support the funding of the critical trials and research they carry out for cancer patients like myself and many others.
