Story
Hello hello!
I am GENUINELY thrilled to be running the London Marathon 2020 to raise money for Autism East Midlands.
Without a doubt, and I know my whole family would similarly agree with this, my personal connection to Autism (through my brother, Alex) has such a positive impact on my life. Whilst, of course challenging, and at times also saddening, frustrating etc, this actually makes it all the more amazing. Whilst the journey isn’t always smooth, we know we are never far away from a great laugh with Alex, and this is quite simply incredible to have in life.
Each individual, each family and each community will have different stories about living with Autism and through raising funds for Autism East Midlands, I hope to enable these stories to always have hope, as my family and I have had.
Autism East Midlands can help with this, whether it be their school for those with Autism (where Alex now works), or their Spectrum Festival, or sibling support, or respite services, your kind donation will go so far to change individuals and communities’ lives.
So thanks so much, I really appreciate it. The race is live on the BBC isn’t it and so, you know me, I will be sure to milk that opportunity when I cross that finish line...
