Story

Our friend and colleague, Denise, was recently diagnosed with cancer. At just 39 years old with a young family, most people would fall to pieces, but not Denise. Instead, she is facing it head on, and is determined to get the better of it.

We want to support her as best we can, and so we have set up this Just Giving page to raise awareness, and to hopefully raise some funds for the Colorectal Department at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, where Denise is being so well looked after.

At noon on Friday 7th October, Lewis Brown Staff will be jumping onto our Smart Trainers and Cycling for 24 hours. There will be at least one member of staff cycling at any given time. We will have several bikes lined up outside our offices so that staff and family members can jump on and join in for as long as they wish.

We will be using the cycling App, Zwift to keep track of our progress, so anyone out there who uses Zwift and wants to join in virtually, can do so by following ‘Lewis Brown – Rob Brown’ and joining the ride.
Three months ago, Denise was going to the gym 3 times a week and looking forward to her summer holiday in France with her extended family. Cancer does not differentiate. It could happen to any of us as any time. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support other families like Denise’s to beat cancer.
