Story

I am running Jed Half-Marathon

I am running the Jed Half-Marathon next week and have decided seek some sponsorship for charity. When someone first suggested seeking sponsorship I was a bit 'oh no, I don't seek sponsors', but then I realised I could set one up online, post it to my Facebook feed, kind of passively-aggresively, and let it do all the work! Plus, it IS for a very good cause, namely Alzheimers Scotland, (not for alzheimers but you know what I mean!) Knowing it is going to a worthy cause will also be a very good incentive to run this thing. AD is a foul affliction on the human race, so the faster we beat it the better! I also hope that by running I can raise awareness among some of my friends of this disease. Although there is no known cure for Dementia, research is well under way. They are making leaps and bounds all the time. Exercise and keeping active is a great way to fight off mental deterioration. I am not looking for much money (just about £1 pound per mile), so I am setting the target very low but you may still donate and pledge. Thanks in advance!
